How it's built
- ✓Magnesium oxide sandwich panels with insulation: no timber frame needed, and well insulated against cold and heat.
- ✓Magnesium oxide doesn't burn, doesn't absorb moisture and doesn't grow mould.
- ✓Designed for 140 mph (about 225 km/h) winds and for snow loads.
- ✓Polycarbonate windows, 250 times more impact-resistant than glass; the eye-level ones open with a crank.
- ✓Arrives wired for electricity. Plumbing, if needed, runs through the deck and is done separately.
- ✓Sits on a timber deck, a slab or foundations; an optional foundation kit suits roughly level ground.

- A round, faceted building with no straight walls and no timber frame: insulated panels assembled in a zonohedral shape. The shape spreads the load of wind and snow.
- Why a minimum of 2 units?
- It's the condition set by the manufacturer, Zomes, for each project and each buyer.
- Does it need foundations?
- It needs a timber deck, a slab or foundations. If you have none, Zomes offers an optional foundation kit that assembles on roughly level ground, with a moisture-protected subfloor.
- Who makes it, and where does it come from?
- Zomes, in California, our partner. We can deliver and assemble it in Europe at a closed final price, or support you if you prefer to import the kit yourself.
- How much does a zome cost?
- There is no list price: it depends on the size, the number of units (minimum 2) and the delivery location, and shipping from California is calculated project by project.
